Huge shout out to our Tournament of Innovation 2013 winners! This year’s Second Annual MVE Science Fair produced a number of students who placed at the Regional Tournament of Innovation. The winners from the Regional Tourney went to Boise, tallying up an impressive number of wins at the state Tournament.

Our Mountain Valley mission is to provide an alternative instructional environment for the students and families of the Bonneville School District.
Our school goals for 2012-2013 include:
- Each student will show measurable growth in reading.
- Each student will show measurable growth in mathematics.
- Teachers will provide an inquiry experience daily.
Inquiry models of instruction and learning.
The ideals, goals and curriculum of STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
Teaching reading through expository text.
Mathematics instruction that extends beyond algorithm mastery and leads to problem solving.
Making real-world connections through various activities in and out of the classroom.

We are excited to work with the students of the 21stCentury, and look forward to the many opportunities that lie ahead.
Mountain Valley is foremost a neighborhood school. However, as a school offering an alternative curriculum, we are pleased to offer open enrollment to a number of students living outside our school boundaries. Applications were received beginning March 1st and have been processed. At this point we will continue to accept applicants for a waiting list.
